This letter is to inform you that there is an ongoing review process regarding the standard marking on TE.CO. cables, which will gradually lead (as stocks are used up) to the changes listed below on all cables:

  • The TE.CO. code of the product expressed as P/N followed by the article code.
    P/N 30217.
  • The progressive metric marking or “metric notch” expressed as a number followed by the measurement unit “m” (metre), e.g. 00761 m.

The metric indication is a progressive number that refers to cable production and not to the package supplied to the customer. An example – out of 5,000 metres produced and packaged in 100 metre hanks, the first hank will have a number from 1 to 100, the second from 101 to 200 etc.

The additional P/N and metrics information will allow to rapidly identify the product and will make cabling operations in the field easier.

Currently excluded from this new marking are the cable families listed below (in addition to the customised markings requested by customers for custom-made products):

  • DRIVEFLEX 2YSLCYK-J
  • FLAT CABLE , FLAT ROUND
  • SILICON, SILICON + FIBERGLASS
  • SINGLE CORE 1015/1284
  • SINGLE CORE 1007/1569
